There are two types of company
newsletters: internal and external. The
internal newsletter is meant to motivate employees and
keep them apprised of company business. The
external newsletter is to promote the company to
customers.
Don’t expect one newsletter
to serve both audiences. Employees care about
recent promotions, new contracts, successful charity
drives, and the softball team’s latest victory.
Customers care about how your
products are going to help them solve their problems.
Write your newsletters accordingly.
Our writing courses include a
thorough discussion of the business document’s
purpose and the needs of the readers you are trying to
reach. You and your employees will learn how to
target various readers and present the same or varied
information to different types of readers, so that each
is satisfied.
